Delete in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is inside CoyoteEdge itself:
- Open the app and tap your avatar, top left, to open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom, to the SIGN OUT & DELETE section.
- Tap DELETE ACCOUNT.
- The screen that opens counts what is on your account — kills, stands, photos, friendships, forecast records and more — and what is about to be removed.
- Type your 8-character hunt code to confirm, then tap DESTROY EVERYTHING.
This cannot be undone. There is no confirmation step after this one — typing your own hunt code is the confirmation.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your login and your profile, including your email address
- Your hunts, stands and logged sets, including nights and stands you deleted earlier
- Your howling events
- Group hunts you created, and the sets logged on them
- Your kills and the kill photos stored with them
- Your map pins, saved tracks, grounds and bearing lines
- Your trail-camera entries
- Your direct messages — both sides of every conversation, not just your copy
- Your comments and likes
- Your friend connections, and any hunters you blocked
- Your push tokens and the record of notifications we sent you
- Your tournament entries, invites, and the photos and proof videos attached to them
- The forecast records written for you, and the questions you asked the Edge AI scout
- The record of your owner searches, the daily count of property-line tiles your account drew, and the record of your photo checks, for kill photos and profile pictures — your hunt code, the date or time and a few details for each
Deletion is not instant, and it is not atomic — it works through your data a table at a time and tells you what it removed. If any part of it fails, your login is kept on purpose so you can sign back in and run it again, rather than leaving pieces behind that you can no longer reach. In the rare case where we cannot match your hunt code, stored photos may survive a deletion that otherwise reported success. Tell us and we will go get them.
What stays
- Tournaments you created. The event stays, so it is not taken away from the other hunters in it. Your name and hunt code come off it — the director reads as “Deleted hunter”. It is scrubbed, not deleted.
- Reports you filed, or that were filed about you, and our record of anything we took down or any suspension. These are kept for moderation and safety. That includes our record of a profile picture the automatic check took down. They reference your hunt code, not your name or your email.
- Results of tournaments that already finished. A closed tournament keeps its final standings, so the other hunters in it keep their result. Your line — hunter name, hunt code, team name, kill count, place, the time of your first kill and the time you reached your final count, and any winner or first-blood mark — stays in that record, and any signed-in hunter who opens the tournament can see it. The final-result notification the other entrants got, which may name the winner, stays in their notifications.
- Past season results. Each month’s saved results keep your hunt code, verified kill total and place among your friends. They do not hold your name or email.
- Kills another hunter logged. A group hunt or shared kill that belongs to someone else’s log stays in their log. Your share of it goes with you; they keep theirs.
- Photos and prompts already sent to our AI providers. What those companies keep is governed by their own terms, and we have no way to recall it.
- Your subscription record at our payment processor. It is keyed to an account ID that no longer exists anywhere else. Nothing in the app deletes it, so if you want it gone, email us and we will ask them to remove it.
- Study files already built. We periodically pull hunt and forecast records together offline to check and improve the forecast. A deletion does not reach back into a study that has already been run. Nothing in those files carries your name.
- Backups, for up to seven days. We keep seven days of daily database backups, so a backup taken before your deletion may still hold database rows about you until it is overwritten. Backups cover the database only — they do not include stored files. Your photos and videos live in file storage, so they are gone immediately and are not sitting in a backup.
- Request logs. Entries already in our hosts’ request logs and in our sign-in service’s own log (Privacy Policy, section 2) are not removed by a deletion; they expire on their own schedule.
- Your sign-in history. Our sign-in service’s history of sign-ins (Privacy Policy, section 2) stays after you delete your account. It holds the email address you used, and no IP address.
The full picture, including everything we collect in the first place, is in the Privacy Policy.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, and only Apple or Google can stop that billing. Cancel before or after you delete your account:
Delete by email
If you cannot get into the app, email support@coyoteedge.com with the subject line “Delete my account” and the email address you sign in with.
We then send a new email to the address on the account, with a short phrase in it. Reply to it with that phrase. Nothing is deleted until the phrase comes back from that address. Then we delete the account and write to tell you it is done.
If you write to us from a different address, the phrase still goes only to the address on the account. That way nobody else can delete your account.
