Terms of Use
The terms that govern your use of CoyoteEdge.

Questions: support@coyoteedge.com
CoyoteEdge (the “App”) is operated by CoyoteEdge LLC, a Kentucky limited liability company (“CoyoteEdge”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Questions: support@coyoteedge.com — we reply within two business days. Email is the only way to reach us, except for copyright notices (section 18).
1. The App
CoyoteEdge provides hunting-conditions forecasts and a Hunt Index, a personal hunt log, trail-camera records, maps with property-boundary overlays, a written hunting guide, a social feed, direct messages between hunters, an AI scout that answers hunting questions, and competitions.
Forecasts and the Hunt Index are informational estimates built from weather and astronomical conditions and from logged hunts. They are not guarantees, and nothing in the App predicts what you will find in the field. CoyoteEdge does not provide legal or regulatory advice.
2. Eligibility & your account
You must be at least 17 to use CoyoteEdge, and you must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live and to hold any license your hunting requires. The App may ask the year you were born, and it does not let you go on if your answer means you could be under 17. It does not verify your answer; using the App is your representation that you meet these requirements. We will delete an account we learn belongs to anyone under 17.
The App is offered in the United States only.
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password secure, and for the accuracy of what you post.
3. Subscriptions
CoyoteEdge offers auto-renewing subscriptions (Pro). The price and the billing period are shown on the purchase screen before you buy. Payment is charged at confirmation to the app-store account you bought through.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can reach the store’s own subscription settings from Settings → MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION in the App, but the cancellation happens at the store: we cannot cancel a subscription for you. Refunds are handled under that store’s policy, not by us directly.
If a free trial or introductory price is offered, its length and terms are shown on the purchase screen before you buy, and any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
4. Your content, and the permission you give us
You own the content you create — photographs, hunt logs, trail-camera records, comments, messages and tournament entries. You keep owning it. What you give us is permission to run the App with it:
- To show it where the App is designed to show it. Your kills to the friends and feeds the App shows them to, your messages to the hunter you sent them to, your tournament entries to that tournament’s director.
- To show it on coyoteedge.com, but only if you switch that on. The public board is off by default. If you turn on PUBLIC PROFILE (Settings → THE FEED), your hunter name, your kill total and place on the season board, and your verified kills — each with its date, its coyote count, its night rating and its photograph — become visible to anyone on the public website. Turn it off and they come off the website. Nothing else about you is published, and your coordinates never are.
- To have a kill photograph reviewed automatically so it can be marked verified — see section 10.
- To study logged hunts, kills and forecast records offline, by hand, to check and improve the forecast. This is described in full in the Privacy Policy, including what is and is not anonymous about it.
This permission is non-exclusive and royalty-free. You can still use your own content any way you like, and we pay nothing for it. It also covers the companies that host and process content for us, so they can store it, copy it and resize it to run the App. It ends when you delete your account, except for what the Privacy Policy says stays after a deletion.
Only post what you have the right to post. By posting something, you promise that it is yours to post, or that you have permission from whoever owns it (a photo a hunting partner took, for example), and that posting it breaks no law and no one else’s rights.
Copyright problems. If you believe something in the App uses your work without permission, email support@coyoteedge.com with what it is, where it appears in the App, and how to reach you. We will look into it and take it down if it should not be there. Section 18 names our copyright agent and says what a formal copyright notice must include.
We do not sell your content, and we do not use your photographs, locations or logs for advertising.
5. Community rules & reporting
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Do not post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, obscene or sexually explicit, or that depicts illegal activity, and do not abuse, harass, impersonate or threaten other users. Photos of lawfully harvested coyotes are what the App is for and are not objectionable in themselves.
You can report a kill, a comment, a message or a hunter’s profile, and you can block another hunter, from inside the App. A blocked hunter’s content stops appearing for you, and blocking also lets us know. We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours: we will remove the content and suspend or terminate the account of the user who posted it. Ordinary support email is answered within two business days (section 17).
6. Hunting is your responsibility
You are responsible for hunting safely, legally and ethically, and for knowing and following every law, season, licensing requirement and regulation that applies where you hunt. Forecasts, the Hunt Index and the written guide are informational, not a plan you should follow without your own judgment.
The map’s property boundaries are third-party data and may be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Parcel overlays and owner names come from an outside data provider, not from us, and boundaries drawn on a screen are an approximation. Your phone’s position can be off as well, so where the App shows you against a line can be wrong. Do not rely on the App to decide whether you may legally be on a piece of ground, or to find a property line in the field. Confirm access and boundaries with the landowner and with official records before you hunt.
7. Property data
With Pro, the map can show property lines and landowner names, and you can search for land by the owner’s name. We call that information “property data.” Property data is licensed to you, not sold to you. It belongs to our property-data provider, who licenses it to us, and nothing in these Terms gives you ownership of any of it.
You may use property data in the App, on your own devices, for your own hunting. That permission is personal to you. You cannot transfer it, sell it or lend it.
You may show it to your hunting partner. You may show property data on your screen to someone you hunt with, or send them a screenshot of it, so the two of you can hunt together.
Do not sell it, publish it or pass it around. Other than showing it to your hunting partner or sending them a screenshot, do not download, copy or save property data outside the App, and do not give anyone else access to it. Never sell, resell, rent, lend, sublicense, publish, post, broadcast or redistribute property data or any part of it, screenshots included (other than a screenshot sent to your hunting partner), and never pass it around.
Do not scrape it. Do not scrape property data, take it apart or reverse-engineer it, do not remove or get around anything that protects it, and do not use anything taken from the App to reach our provider’s service directly.
Do not use it for AI. Do not use property data to build, train or improve any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system, or hand it to any service that would use it that way.
We may change, pause or stop property data at any time, in some places or everywhere. It does not cover every place or every property, and your subscription does not promise any particular coverage or update.
If you break this section, we may end your access to property data straight away, even while your subscription is running, and you must delete any copies of property data you made. The limits in this section keep applying after your access ends.
8. Acceptable use
Do not reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the App or its data, do not interfere with its operation or security, and do not use the App for any unlawful purpose. Property data has its own, stricter limits in section 7.
9. Competitions
Tournaments are organized by users (“directors”), not by us. A director sets the rules, the dates and any entry fee or prize.
Money never passes through the App. An entry fee or a prize is arranged between the director and the participants, outside the App. The App may show what a director says about one, for example in the tournament’s rules. CoyoteEdge LLC does not collect, hold, transmit or guarantee entry fees or prize money, and is not a sponsor of any tournament. Apple is not a sponsor of any tournament and is not involved in any tournament in any way. Directors and participants are responsible for the legality of their own contest.
10. Verification, and the AI in the App
Kill verification is automatic, with one exception. When you log a kill with a photograph, an automated image-recognition service reviews it and its answer decides whether the kill is marked verified. Verified kills feed personal records, the season race and tournament standings. If the service declines a kill you logged outside a tournament, three of your friends can sign for it before that month closes; once they do, it is marked verified and counts like any other. In a tournament, a director may also review an entry and their decision stands for that tournament.
Automated review can be wrong in both directions — it can decline a real kill and it can accept one it should not. If you believe a result is wrong, write to support@coyoteedge.com.
The AI scout can be wrong too. It answers hunting questions in natural language and its answers are informational, like the rest of the App. Do not rely on them for anything about legality, safety or where you may hunt.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time, from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms.
12. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes the forecast, the Hunt Index, the guide, the maps and their property boundaries, and anything an automated system in the App produces. Property data comes to you as is from our property-data provider too: neither we nor our provider promise that it is accurate, complete, current, available or fit for any purpose.
Weather. YOUR USE OF THIS REAL TIME WEATHER GUIDANCE APPLICATION OR WEBSITE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. WEATHER DATA MAY NOT BE ACCURATE. Apple Weather Data may vary from actual conditions due to variable factors, such as signal issues and geopolitical events, that can affect the accuracy of Apple Weather Data. Weather the App shows from its other sources may not be accurate either.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoyoteEdge LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on forecasts, maps, guide content, AI answers or other data in the App. Our property-data provider is not liable for those damages either. For anything to do with property data, the most we and our provider will owe you, together, is what you paid for Pro in the 12 months before your claim.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms and will change the “Last updated” date when we do. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15. App Store terms
Where the App is downloaded through Apple’s App Store, these Terms are between you and CoyoteEdge LLC, not Apple, and Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement is incorporated into these Terms by reference (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula). Where these Terms conflict with it, the stricter of the two applies to your use of the App on Apple devices.
Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for addressing any claim you or anyone else has about it — including product-liability claims, any claim that it fails to conform to a legal requirement, and claims under consumer-protection or similar law. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and on your acceptance of them Apple has the right — and is deemed to have accepted the right — to enforce them against you.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
17. Contact
support@coyoteedge.com — CoyoteEdge LLC, Kentucky. We reply within two business days. Copyright notices go to our copyright agent (section 18).
18. Copyright complaints
We respect copyright and expect hunters to do the same. Our designated agent for copyright notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act is:
Copyright Agent, CoyoteEdge LLC
373 Beckley Osborne Rd, Sebree, KY 42455
Phone: (270) 952-2580
Email: support@coyoteedge.com
To report infringement, send the agent a written notice that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the copyrighted work you say has been infringed;
- the material you say infringes it, and where it is in the App or on coyoteedge.com, in enough detail for us to find it;
- your name, address, phone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner.
When we receive a notice that meets these requirements, we remove the material or disable access to it, and we let the hunter who posted it know.
If your content was removed by mistake, you can send the agent a counter-notice that includes: your physical or electronic signature; the material that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where your address is (or, if your address is outside the United States, any district where CoyoteEdge LLC may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent. We send a copy of your counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice, and we put the material back 10 to 14 business days after we receive your counter-notice, unless that person first tells our agent that they have filed a court action to keep it down.
Repeat infringers. We end, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of hunters who repeatedly infringe copyright.
Knowingly misstating that material infringes, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages.
