Group Hunts
Hunt with partners and split credit fairly on a shared kill.
UPDATED · September 10, 2026
Most nights you hunt alone, and that is the default. But a lot of coyote hunting happens with a partner or a small crew, and the log should match how the night actually went.
Solo vs. group
When you tap START HUNT, you pick SOLO or GROUP. That one choice is the whole decision — nothing else to configure before you get moving. Solo keeps the whole night on your own record. Group links the hunters on stand together so a shared kill gets shared credit instead of getting counted twice, or counted once under one name while everyone else's effort disappears.
Fractional credit
This is the part that actually matters: when a kill is shared, it splits 1/N across the hunters who share it. Two hunters on the kill, each gets half a kill. Three hunters, each gets a third. Nobody has to argue about whose kill it "really" was, and nobody's season total gets inflated by a night where one coyote came in and four people were standing there.
Your own record stays yours
A group hunt does not erase your personal stats. Every hunter in the group keeps their own full record — their own stands, their own sets, their own logged nights — with the fractional share folded into their own kill count. Your season total, your badges, your place in the race: all of it reflects your share, not the group's total.
How it shows in the feed
A shared kill posts once, and the card shows who was on it. The fractional credit is a scoring detail behind the scenes — the feed card is about the kill and the people who earned it together, not a math lesson.
NOTE
A shared kill is still one kill in the feed. The split only affects how it counts toward each hunter's personal and season totals.
