Free and Pro — what each includes, billing, and what happens when you lapse.
UPDATED · September 12, 2026
CoyoteEdge has two tiers: Free and Pro. Here's what each one actually includes.
Free
Free carries the core of the app: tonight's read (the next 24 hours), the hunt log, the map, the kill feed, and the field guide with your own record. You can hunt, log every stand, keep up to five friends, enter any tournament, and compete in the kill feed without paying anything.
Pro
Pro adds the full seven-night forecast with hourly detail, tournament hosting, the Edge AI Scout at ten questions a day, no cap on friends, and the Guide's Pro bands — your best hours, when they move on camera, and where an answer came from.
Pro is $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year.
Billing
Subscriptions bill through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) — the same account you used to download the app. CoyoteEdge never handles your payment details directly.
Restoring a purchase
If you've reinstalled the app or switched devices, use Restore Purchases in Settings to reconnect your existing subscription without paying again — it checks your App Store or Google Play account for an active purchase.
Cancelling
RULE
Cancel through the App Store or Google Play, not inside CoyoteEdge. Subscriptions are managed at the platform level — there's no cancel button in the app itself.
- iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → CoyoteEdge → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → CoyoteEdge → Cancel.
Your subscription stays active through the end of the period you already paid for, even after you cancel.
What happens when you lapse
You keep your data. Your hunt log, your kills, your badges, and your season history don't disappear when a Pro subscription ends. What changes is what you can reach:
- The forecast shortens from the full seven days with hourly detail back to the next 24 hours.
- The Edge AI Scout switches off entirely. It is not a Free feature at all.
- The Guide keeps its field guide and your record, and loses the Pro bands — your best hours, when they move on camera, and where an answer came from.
- Tournaments go back to join-only. You can still enter one; you can't create one.
- Friends go back to a cap of five — but nobody is removed. You keep every hunter you already have; you just can't add another until you are under the cap again.
Verified kills are unlimited on both tiers, including Free, so nothing about your record is gated.
NOTE
Lapsing is not the same as deleting your account. Your record stays intact either way — a lapsed subscription just returns you to what Free includes.
